Our first film donated: Summit To Sea
We recently worked with our charity partner, Surfers Against Sewage, to produce a documentary around the climate work they do.
About 5 year ago, prior to founding Volta Media and while I was still studying at University, I set myself a goal to create a documentary for environmental and plastic pollution charity, Surfers Against Sewage.
Today I finally achieved that goal.
Last April, Volta Media became a member of Pledge 1%, meaning that we donate 1% of our revenue and 1% of our time to a cause close to our hearts. Of course, the charity I chose to work with was SAS.
Soon after we began discussing the first of our annual video donations that we will be doing for the charity, and this video evolved into what you sea below, Summit To Sea, a 12-minute mini-documentary about the Surfers Against Sewage reps & volunteers.
We join them along rivers, towns & our coastlines as they fight back against the tides of plastic pollution through volunteering on beach cleans, educating the general public, and raising awareness around pressing climate topics.
I'm super excited to be sharing this film, and helping a fantastic charity that is striving to save our planet.
